Assessments

Assessments are the foundation of self-discovery and lasting growth.

Assessments provide a clear picture of your unique profile of confirmed strengths, unrecognized strengths, blind spots, and development opportunities — insights that would often remain hidden without a structured, data-driven process. By turning guesswork into clarity, assessments give you the language and tools to understand yourself and others more deeply. Whether applied to leadership, teamwork, or personal relationships, they create a roadmap for intentional growth, better communication, and more effective results.

With assessments, you don’t just hope for improvement —

you can measure it, track it, and achieve it.

Ever ask, "Why do they do that?" or "Why can't we get along?"

"I'm 100% responsible for 50% of the problem."

Is it you or is it them?  The truth is—it’s both of you, whether you want to hear it or not. Every person in a relationship plays a role in its success (or its struggle).   And every relationship—personal or professional—thrives when both people take responsibility. The problem is, most of us only know how we think and behave, we don't always understand or take the time to see the world as others see it.

When you understand yourself, you begin to see others more clearly—who they are, what drives them, and how they communicate.

When you adapt to others’ styles, you break down barriers, build trust, and create meaningful, lasting change.

DISC: The Foundation of Success

The DISC assessment measures how a person does what they do by looking at four factors: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance.

DISC creates a shared language around observable behavior, which in turn improves communication, engagement, and self-development.

  • Your natural communication style—and how it’s perceived by others
  • What triggers conflict between different styles
  • How to adapt your approach to connect better and reduce tension
  • Practical strategies to create lasting, positive change in your relationships

When you understand yourself, you can finally see others for who they truly are.
When you adapt to their style, you break down walls, build trust, and get results that last.

The 12 Driving Forces: Motivation in Action

The 12 Driving Forces is an assessment that measures why a person does what they do by defining and identifying their motivation. It measures the motivation (and strength) behind behaviors, using 6 different motivators.

Those motivators are:

  • Knowledge
  • Utility
  • Surroundings
  • Others
  • Power
  • Methodologies

These 6 motivators are each divided into two distinct ways of measuring each factor. Based on a continuum, these 12 drivers make up a person’s cluster of Driving Forces.

Are you getting the impact you want as a leader?

"We judge ourselves by our intentions, but others judge us by our impact."

Most leaders and managers want to be seen as supportive, effective, and inspiring—but intentions don’t always match reality. Sometimes the very behaviors meant to motivate can actually discourage, or the habits meant to build trust can unintentionally create distance.

That’s why it’s so important to understand how your style as a leader is truly landing with others.

The real impact specific behaviors have on your team and culture. These clear insights drive strategies and a roadmap to lead in the way you want to be experienced—resulting in better relationships, stronger performance, and lasting results.

Leadership/Impact® (L/I)

Leadership/Impact (L/I) is a leadership assessment that provides managers and executives with unique insights into their personal leadership strategies – and the impact of those strategies on others’ behavior measured in terms of the Circumplex styles and performance. The product of extensive leadership effectiveness research, this 360 feedback assessment for leaders is used by organizations worldwide. It is featured in the Center for Creative Leadership’s book, Feedback to Managers.

L/I is a validated leadership assessment that provides your leaders with invaluable insights into their influence and effectiveness. This unique leadership development tool empowers them to confront and overcome their personal barriers to achieve outstanding executive performance – and ultimately to optimize the performance of their teams and your organization as a whole. It’s particularly useful for:

  • initiating and promoting leadership development
  • coaching individual managers and executive teams
  • going beyond personality assessment or personal style tools
  • evaluating your leadership development initiatives
  • promoting a healthy organizational culture
  • enhancing organizational effectiveness and sustainability

L/I can be facilitated by individuals accredited in its use, or a Human Synergistics consultant can work with you to build a custom development program for your organization or the organizations you support.

Management/Impact® (M/I)

Management/Impact (M/I) internationally proven and aligned with best-practice academic and psychometric standards, M/I uses self-assessment and 360 feedback to gauge managers’ strengths and areas for development — a vital step towards ensuring their ‘fit’ with your organization’s vision, values, and strategies.

The M/I assessment will help you get the best from your management team, with a dual focus on their management approach and their effects on (and the behavior they encourage in) others. They’ll discover ways to improve their long-term effectiveness and influence, and ultimately strengthen their ability to meet your organization’s goals.

M/I is particularly valuable as part of initiatives focused on management development, personal development, cultural development, or organizational development. You can use it as the basis for:

  • initiating or promoting management development
  • coaching individual managers
  • evaluating your management development initiatives
  • promoting a healthy organizational culture
  • enhancing organizational effectiveness

Start by understanding yourself. Transform your relationships.
